Bottle Trimmer Gets a Facelift

March 2002, St. Louis - Workhorse bottle-trimming equipment has been upgraded in several ways without increasing its cost. The MTM 2025 Spin Trimmer from Lectro Engineering Co., St Louis, now incorporates a PLC I/O module for linking various parts of the line from trimming to packaging.

Other new features include a V-belt design that gives improved belt tracking, adjustable bottle discharge chutes, dust covers, and dome-scrap jam-detection devices. Beacon lights and audible alarms signal line problems.
